Policies I Will Support

Medicare For All/Healthcare Justice, and Family First Initiatives

I will co-sponsor and whip support for each Momnibus Bill that comes across my desk.
I will support the push for a "Public Option" within the ACA Marketplace.
I will support legislation that truly caps prescription costs for all Americans by building on the framework used for Medicare.
I will co-sponsor resolutions that will further move us towards Medicare for All, while pushing for the strengthening and expansion of Medicaid, and work with State leaders to make this a reality.
I will make it a priority to hold insurance companies to account by investigating their rates of denial for valid claims and work to break up healthcare monopolies.
I will support more telehealth options and review licensing regulations so mental health professionals are more easily accessible to those in remote areas.
I will work to secure more Community Project Funding and work with the USDA to construct more hospitals and infrastructure in rural areas by increasing the number of Rural Emergency Health Designations in our district.
I will support the Resident Physician Shortage Act Reduction Act of 2025, and will pursue revamping funding for Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement rates to alleviate the closing of existing facilities.

I will support raising the federal minimum wage to $25, in phased increases, so that our small businesses do not feel the need to shutter and can plan, even though data shows our economy grows stronger and demand increases with an increase in income.
I will cosponsor and support bills that create universal childcare for our country.
I will support the bipartisan bills that work to cap credit card interest for two years to help our families get ahead, while we work to control inflation, stabilize supply chains, and negotiate better trade treaties.
I will work to appropriate spending dollars to local organizations that advocate and secure safe and affordable housing in the communities they serve. While working simultaneously to rein in foreign and out-of-state investors that monopolize and price out our homes and markets, which should serve our residents first.

I will support moratoriums on data centers until an entire and full environmental assessment can be performed, citizens have their say, and push for a grey-water plant to be constructed BEFORE the data center begins operations.
I will work to restrengthen our environmental agencies by providing oversight and demanding answers from those in charge.
I will also support legislation that forces datacenters to go public, with that wealth being redistributed to communities affected.
I will pursue accountability from agribusiness corporations that create farming chemicals that harm our farmers, and ensure that those protections can afford our farmers to continue to leave their family a legacy without fear of bankruptcy if harmed from chemical exposure.
I will push for conservation efforts and grants for our farmers, so that in times of environmental downturns, our farms still have a shot to succeed and adapt to our changing climate.

I will work to hold elected and appointed leaders accountable for the following: unethical securing of federal contracts, insider trading, personal enrichment from their own office, and campaign fund misuse and representation.
I will support legislation that defines corporations and more transparently accounts for dark money in elected races.
I will support holding those in contempt that have blocked and hindered the Epstein Files investigations.
I will support legislation that bans Members of Congress from acquiring, trading, and selling stocks while in office.
I will support legislation that imposes term limits on Members of Congress.
I will commit to donating my paycheck during government shutdowns and dispersing it to food aid programs in my district, while pushing for legislation that prohibits Congress from benefiting while our constituencies suffer during shutdowns.
